Our vineyards are over 50 years old , with production per vine of Vinos Ribeira Sacra Marcas approximately 3 kg. The Sta. Mª de Nogueira winery is located in the Ribeira de Chantada on the slopes of the Miño River, Municipality of Chantada - Lugo. Our winery is a company under the Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin created in 1998.

It is a traditional family winery that has been operating since the 1960s; In May 2017 it passed into the hands of Don Pedro Yáñez, improving both the winery and the different brands that are made in it and incorporating more than 70 hectares of vineyards.The winery is installed in the heart of Chantada , an area that is distinguished by its natural and scenic wealth, and with a capacity for 450,000 liters. We have created two production lines : the first and exclusive for the hotel industry, with the brands Veiga do Bacelo, Veiga do Bacelo Barrica, Bacelo dos Condes and Vino Tinto Mencia Ribeira Sacra Fontairiñas. The second for food: Ribera de Valboa and Ribera de Pantón.

 All wines are made with the Mencía grape Of our vineyards and viticulturists in the area, most have been with the winery since its inception. We produce approximately 75,000 liters for catering (100,000 bottles) and around 90,000 liters (120,000 bottles) for food.Cultivation is completely manual, it is harvested in small boxes that are lifted by hand onto transport vehicles, most of the plots being small and very steep, which makes it a difficult and expensive task. In the vineyards we control both the ripening process and the selection of the best bunches, trying to obtain the best and highest quality from each vine, also ensuring that they do not exceed 3 kg per vine.
